I'm not going to lie, I sort of hate white bags. I live in constant fear I will scratch/spill/mark/damage them forever being such a klutz. However, black bags are such a no go in the Summer I have to figure something out--and no straw bags, they make me want to sneeze. So I found some bags at various price points to consider for the upcoming seasons.
[Emma Clutch. Tucker Paisley. $84 at Badjoan]
I like how simple and sophisticated this little clutch is. It's got an interesting curve detail on the flap but nothing too distracting so viewers can focus on you, not your bag. Apparently it is also a favorite of Hayden Pannettiere's (funny, I was under the impression she didn't like bags without huge clunky accents COUGHhaydenforD&BCOUGH). This is great for a summer lawn party and maybe even to a cocktail party.
[Katia Clutch. Loeffler Randall. $225 at Shopbop.]
(Okay, not totally white but close enough.) Again, I confess: I really dislike snakeskin. Real or embossed, just not a fan. However, I'm impressed how well LR pulls off this look without making the clutch something you'd see at a Guess store (yeah, take that Marciano family). Something for the more adventurous, I'd recommend this for a vacation in somewhere like Milan paired with some ridiculous jewelery.
[Francesco Biasia. $198 at Nordstrom]
I'm a big fan of this tote. It's way too big for my body but pleasantly reminds me of the Marni tote except slightly more structured. I'm not digging the silver logo thing but hopefully it's detachable--but then again, FB isn't known for being very practical (the lock on the Secret Love bag is impossible). Still, this bag is roomy enough for a day at the beach and still lets you look put together. Win win.
